Course Synopsis

The unit will equip learners with essential knowledge and application skills required to effectively respond to fire incidents and apply them to their workplace such as:

  1. Strengthen and introduce the appropriate legislations in the formation and activation of the Company Emergency Response Team.
  2. Use different fire-fighting equipment and to educate learners on the correct usage of these equipment.
  3. Demonstrate effective usage of fire protection systems in buildings and the identification of various possible fire hazards.

Course Objective

After successfully completing this unit, the learner will be equipped with apt competencies to apply during emergency incidents in workplaces. Learners will be able to be first responders for fire-related incidents within the working premise. Company Emergency Response Teams (CERT) will be able to apply emergency response skills effectively and safely
